Clearly, the microphone does a great job picking up my voice, and the speaker in this unit is clear and loud. In fact, I have not tried the FM connection to my car radio because I am happy using it as-is. Also, the visor clip is adequate if you will be leaving the unit in the car. I am very happy that I bought this unit. If you are looking for a car-mounted hands-free speakerphone, I highly recommend the VM-605.
