(More customer reviews)the mechanism that retracts the wire back is ok. You have to retract it carefully make sure it doesn't get tangled up. For such a cheap price, this is a good and useful product. I'm a mechanical designer, I'd know. To get a better retracting mechanism requires lots of time investment for design, you'd be shelling out a lot more $.
