(More customer reviews)This remote gave us many problems at first. I have just recently figured out the problem. The MRF-250 is SO powerful that it's IR capabilities are beyond explanation. DO NOT use the individual IR emitters if you have the MRF-250 in the same cabinet or even near the same cabinet. I ended up having to turn the unit backwards facing a wall to the side of all of my equipment. Everything works flawlessly now.
The problem with this unit is the IR not the RF signal. There is a slight delay in the IR emitters that stick to each unit. However, if the MRF-250 is anywhere in the vicinity of the audio/video equipment you are trying to control, it will get two signals milliseconds apart and confuse most audio equipment. I thought my Onkyo Receiver's IR port was dead until we figured this out. Only use the cabled emitters for equipment OUTSIDE the visible area of the MRF-250. Placed three inches from the wall on the bottom shelf, this unit will control all devices in my rack up to four feet above it and three feet the opposite direction without individual emitters attached to the unit.
