(More customer reviews)After a few weeks use, the BTSC1500 works fairly well. It is a surprise that a product such as this could get loose from the factory with such a major firmware bug.
The problem is this;
After 10 minutes the display blanks -- which is good, however if you leave the car after the display is blank when you return you can't tell if you're still connected. The idea is to press the "do everything" button, and if you had been far enough away to disconnect all is well -- the BTSC1500 wakes up, and a second quick press of the button connects you.
If however you DIDN'T go far enough away to disconnect the first button press redials the last number your cellphone called - which is incredibly annoying.
As the display is blank you can't tell if you are disconnected before pressing the button.
The only solution I've found is on return to your vehicle press the "do everything" button for over 4 seconds to power the device down, then another 4 seconds to wake it up again, or to power it down before leaving the vehicle. As it doesn't disconnect until you're about 10 metres / 30 feet away you just don't know which has occurred.
As a hands free kit it works very well, but if you leave your vehicle without powering it down then it's a real pain.
