Plantronics Voyager 510Sl Voyager Bluetooth Headset System with Automatic Lifter and AC,DC Charger Review

Plantronics Voyager 510Sl Voyager Bluetooth Headset System with Automatic Lifter and AC,DC Charger

I talk on a landline or on a Treo 650 all day from my home office. I've been using a Palm Treo headset for Treo calls, and my Treo wired headset for landline calls on a 5.8 Ghz Panasonic cordless phone, surrounded by 2.4 Ghz wireless internet signals. While this setup works, issues are (a) I am tethered to the desk (and often tangled and dropping the cordless handset), (b) switching headsets is a hassle (I did not try wearing both headsets on separate ears--too confusing and I want one ear available for the local environment), (c) landline callers often complain that they hear an "echo" of their voice on the Treo wired headset, (d) and the extra step of having to plug my Palm headset into its charger (and its lack of a low battery indicator) results in having to recharge it when I need to be using it.
My ideal solution would enable me to answer calls on either phone with a single headset, keeping my hands free for working on my computer, un-tether/untangle me so I can move around my office and home, and provide a convenient recharging stand for the headset (like the Jabra JX10). My functional priorities: (1) 2-way voice clarity, (2) wearing comfort and stability to stay on my ear, (3) range. Cool style/design is not a significant factor.
I stumbled on the Plantronics 510 headset, which has a seemingly unique "multi-point" technology enabling it to pair to two phones at the same time. On-line research revealed a seemingly well-designed desk phone adapter with an integrated a headset holder/charger. The value of the optional "handset lifter" was hard to assess without seeing it working. But the entire system is expensive ($399 list on the Plantronics site, $300 at other retailers), and it requires a wired desk phone--it's not compatible with a cordless, due to the way it connects to a wired handset. However, I know Plantronics is a manufacturer of serious office headset solutions, so I figure you get what you pay for. I read some reviews (few available, not even listed on the Treonauts site), found it on the web for $210, and ordered it to test it out.
Well, I've only been using it 3 days, but it is superb! I dusted off an old wired desk phone (keeping the cordless with programmed numbers to place calls), plugged everything together, paired to my Treo easily, kept all the default hear/talk volume settings, charged the headset - and started placing/answering calls -- flawlessly!
On talk quality, even my critical, hard-of-hearing friend had no complaints. On listen quality, I raised the hear volume switch on the base one notch, and now it's perfect. And the handset lifter is awesome! I dial the call on the cordless, then press the call button on the headset; the handset lifts and you hear the call going through; I hang up the cordless. Range-wise, I can walk upstairs to the kitchen to refill my coffee, step outside to greet the fedex man, and *almost* get the mail - which is about 70 feet from the base station! Conservatively it looks like I will get a good solid 30 feet, through walls, with no quality loss (though still only about 10 feet if I'm talking on the Treo). And a nice feature: if I *do* go out of range, a low tone indicates this--without dropping the call--and a high tone let's me know I am back in range and resumes the call!
To receive a call on either the Treo of the landline, I just touch the call button on the headset, which is conveniently centered on my ear. Once you set the listen volume to a good level, this is the only button you really need to touch, and it is easy to "find". And comfort-wise: VERY comfortable! The over-the-ear design keeps the headset feeling solidly in place; the smallest earpiece fits snugly in my ear, but absent is the pressure of other earpieces I've used (gels & 'hard' earbuds) . I can hardly feel its weight on my ear, and there is *no* pressure inside my ear; I can easily wear it all day. When I take it off, I stick it right into its holder/charge - so it's always charged up!
The packaging could use one very small improvement: the headset eartip guide could use some verbal description, to complement the diagrams, for selecting/fitting the right eartips, and for removing them from the headset as you try on the 3 different sizes.
I am a careful, discerning technology consumer, and am aware that the real proof of satisfaction comes after weeks of use--not hours or even days. I save all packaging to return a product that does not perform to expectations. I can tell you that I am already confident that the 510SL is a keeper! I will post updates to this initial review in a couple of weeks.

Northwestern Bell Big-Button Corded Phone Plus with 13-Number Memory (20200-1) Review

Northwestern Bell Big-Button Corded Phone Plus with 13-Number Memory (20200-1)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The phone arrived within a week and it works just fine. Some feedback on other comments written would be while the phone does take 2 batteries, the phone works without them. It's just to save any stored phone numbers in case something happens that causes your phone line to have no power. If you don't store any numbers, then you don't need batteris. I also thought using the speaker phone option that even with the volume all the way up, it still didn't seem loud enough. If you purchase the phone that you think is in Ivory, it will be white when it arrives. I think that's the only color they have. Unlike other big button phones I've seen in the store, this Northwestern Bell felt like a "real" telephone. The other brands (including big name companys) seem very light weight and have a cheap feel to them. Also the Bell handset fits in the cradle firmly, other phones I've seem the ear piece sat in the cradle well but the mouth piece end just laid on top of the phone and you could easily knock the handset off the cradle without knowing it and loose connection.

Uniden DECT 6.0 Digital Cordless Phone with Caller ID and Two Extra Handsets (DECT1560-3) Review

Uniden DECT 6.0 Digital Cordless Phone with Caller ID and Two Extra Handsets (DECT1560-3)
Average Reviews:

Despite a history of excellent experience with Uniden phones, this was poor quality right out of the package. It felt inexpensive and proved to be just that despite the price. It worked for about six hours. Now, after not even using the phones, two of the chargers (including the base) have no function. We have interchanged the AC adapters with no success. All three phones have now charged using one charger. It does no good since the base unit is not functioning. Uniden's customer service has, thus far, not responded. Our next call is to Amazon to return the product.

Motorola DECT 6.0 Cordless Phone with Answering System Review

Motorola DECT 6.0 Cordless Phone with Answering System
Average Reviews:

This phone first of all is very stylish by appearance only; the buttons are hard to push, the sound quality is very poor, the handset speaker doesn't go loud enough to hear the other caller without having the phone at your ear (what's the purpose of having a handset speaker). The battery life is pathetic, I was on the phone for less than 2 minutes and the battery had gone done by half, so the charge doesn't last with this phone. Motorola was no help when I called them, they said they were still working out the kinks in the phone. Shouldn't the kinks have been worked out before the phone hit the market? Bottom line, don't waste your time or money on this piece of junk.

This is not having a 5 MP camera instead it's only have a 2 MP camera. Features are all same as Nokia C5-03 with only difference in Camera resolution and Wi-Fi. There is no Wi-Fi in this version which is absurd. There is no point of buying Nokia C5-04 instead of Nokia C5-03.
Amazon listed this product with wrong details of 5 MP camera which is actually confusing. I am returning this product due to this.

Etymotic Research HF2 Earphones / Headset (iPhone Compatible) - Black Review

Etymotic Research HF2 Earphones / Headset (iPhone Compatible) - Black
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
You've seen those people with earphone-mic combos for those phones - you know, *those* people who walk around, holding the mic up to their mouth, who might as well pull out the earphone and just hold the phone up to their ear. Are they uncomfortable, thinking that the mic won't pick up their voice, or are they compensating for a lackluster microphone? If the latter, that will not be necessary with the Etymotic HF2 earphone headset, whose mic is every bit as strong as the one built into most phones, if not better.
I tested this set with an Iphone 3G, and those on the other end were not able to guess that I was on a headset microphone rather than the Iphone's admittedly high-quality mic - that's a great compliment right there. The mic, which hangs about three inches below the right earphone, seems to be able to filter out background noises, as well. As for controls, it's simple - there's one button on rectangular microphone unit. Press once to answer or hang up a call, twice to send a call to voicemail.
As for sound quality of the headphones, they're fantastic, and that's no surprise given the pedigree associated with the Etymotic name. I'm an Ety fan - I have a pair of Ety ER6i as well as their "big brother" the ER4P, and the sound quality of the HF2 ranks right around the ER6i, which should be excellent for most people. Those not familiar with the "Etymotic sound," it is extremely clean, and many may find it lacking in bass, but it is very true to the recorded sound, unlike many other cheaper (and sometimes similarly priced) earphones. What you hear with Etymotics is a very accurate, if sometimes stark, representation of the sound that the artists captured. They are not good headphones for those looking for huge bass response. Those who enjoy jazz and great detail in their music might just love the Etymotic sound - they truly are an audiophile company. And when it comes to calls, there's also a small thrill to be had that first time you talk to someone and hear them in stereo through these earphones if you've never experienced it before. The world is blocked out due to the earphones' superior sound-dampening abilities, and the caller on the other end is extremely clear.
A note about fit and sound quality: these in-ear 'phone are meant to seat deep in your ear, sealed with your ear canal. When seated properly, they will deliver incredible sound quality and beautiful, solid bass - but not the deep, head-rattling bass you may be accustomed to from other head-and ear-phones. If they aren't seated properly, wet the tip just slightly, insert, and then turn just a bit to get them "snug down." The fit shouldn't hurt, but may feel odd at first. I found it took some getting used to and, yes, you will likely notice some earwax - you are, afterall, closing up your ears, so they will get warm. Clean the triple-flange tips from time to time and make sure your ears are as clean as possible. It sounds like a ritual, but it really is worth it for the extrmely high sound quality these earphones are capable of creating.
Other small details: where the two wires for the earphones connect to join into one is a slider to sinch up the wires . . . I assume if you want them close to your neck? Included on the wire is a clip that I found more annoying and cumbersome than useful. Thoughtful, yes, but not easy to remove, and I feared damaging the wire sleeve in doing so, so it stayed put. It simply made winding the wires up to put into the handy zipped leather pouch a job a little more clumsy than necessary. Also included are foam tips and smaller triple-flange tips for the earphones, replacement filters, and a filter replacement tool.
For owners of the first generation Iphone, the headphone jack is sized to fit into the recessed jack - no need for an awkward adapter.
So why only four stars if I enjoy these so much? (It would really be 4.5 stars if Amazon would let me offer it.) I balk a little at paying almost the price of the 8gb Iphone for a mic/earphone headset, even as high-quality as this one is. Another thing, and this is true of any headset, and so I don't mark this one down for it, your speaking voice does not come through the earphones. Normally that's not such an issue, but when you are listening to the other party in stereo, and you can only hear yourself as if through plugged ears, it's a little disorienting, and I found myself fighting the urge to speak louder. It would be nice if there were some way for your voice to be able to feedback into the earphones.
Overall, however, these are fantastic - miles above most typical headsets, but the price reflects that, too. If you spend a significant amount of time both listening to music and talking on your phone, and you truly treasure sound quality, these may make perfect sense.

Klipsch Image X10i Audiophile Noise-Isolating Headset with 3-button Apple Control (Copper) Review

Klipsch Image X10i Audiophile Noise-Isolating Headset with 3-button Apple Control (Copper)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I've probably been using portable music players for at least 20 years now. First it was cassette players, then CD players and now MP3 (or other music/video file type) players. Progressively as I upgraded from one type of player to the next, I wanted an even better (i.e., not cheap) kind of player(s) which would give me more features and of course, better sound. It wasn't until more recently that I discovered it wasn't so much the player, as the headphones that made the big difference in sound. (Duh!) I don't know why I didn't bother to get better headphones until recently, but I guess it was because I didn't understand that the type of sound I was hearing wasn't nearly as good as what the source material was capable of giving me. (Especially for CD's) So I finally decided to stop using el cheapo's and plunk down some coin for a decent pair of headphones.
The first pair I bought was a few years ago and were the Bose In-Ear earbuds. The player I was using at the time was the Apple Ipod 5G video. Compared to the Skullcandy earbuds I was using before, they sounded like THE BEST sounding earbuds I had ever heard. (That I had heard, not that existed). I quickly became disillusioned with these, especially when wearing them as I worked out at the gym and they would constantly fall out of my ears as I worked out. Surprisingly, this would also happen when I wasn't working out, although far less frequently. I tried all the different size ear tips, but made no difference. I knew there were far better (more expensive) buds out there to try, so after doing some research and comparing, I next went with the Ultimate Ears Super.Fi 5 pro earbuds. These had a bendable wire built-in to allow wrapping around the ears and fits deeper into the ears, which they did. Also, the sound was MUCH better! In fact, while waiting to get the X10i's, I sold my Super.Fi 5's and reverted back to the Bose to see how they measured up and after listening to them again, I can't believe I ever thought the Bose sounded good! The bass they give is so overpowering and muddy that it drowns out some of the mids and highs, making for a poor listening experience when compared to the Super.Fi 5's.
A little over a month ago, I finally upgraded from using some of the Ipod Nanos to the 64GB Touch (3rd Gen). This model has an in-line/voice control feature which I wanted to use immensely, but I didn't want to use the craptacular earbuds that came with the Touch. After doing a little research, I found that the Klipsch were the only game in town that had some in-line controls/microphone earbuds that work (mostly) with these features. I know there is the cheaper S4i model, but after reading some of the reviews, I was afraid that they would be a lot like the Bose I had (i.e. strong bass drowning out the mids and highs), so I decided to go all out and go for the brass ring and get the X10i's.

I was definitely weary about paying the $350 price tag these things have, what with buying them online (harder for exchange/refunds) and not knowing how well they work. For the price though, they had to be good! And luckily, the gamble paid off. The X10i's sound every bit as good, if not better than, my old UE Super.Fi 5's! The earbuds are definitely smaller as well and fit much more comfortably in the ears due to the oval shape of the ear tips. This makes quite a lot of sense, considering how oval-like the human ear canal is shaped. It is surprising how much research Klipsch (and others like them) put into making their earbuds; the micro technology, form, design, etc. The medium size tips are what 60% of users find the most comfortable, so those are the ones that are already attached to the buds. I guess I'm one of the 60% because I just left them on when I tried the X10i's out for the first time and they fit comfortably and securely. I bought these for 2 main reasons: 1. The awesome sound. 2. The in-line/microphone controls. So I will review these 2 aspects of the earbuds.
1.The sound: Again, this is a major pro! Unfortunately I had already sold my Super.Fi 5's before I got the X10i's, so I couldn't do a sound check and compare the two. I can note that when using the Super.Fi 5's VS the X10i's with my iTouch I had to turn the volume back up a bit when using the X10i's to get the same volume level. I don't know exactly what this suggests; maybe that the X10i's need a little more power (volume) than the Super.Fi 5's did? Nonetheless, I get all the sound flavors. The sound is very clean, vibrant and reproduces the source as well as it can be done. Knowing how well these reproduce sound, I went ahead and re-ripped my music library from the AAC (.m4a) file format @ 150Kbps VBR to the same format @ 300Kbps VBR. This is about as high as I can go in the AAC format before it becomes too high a bit rate for the iTouch. I'm also not ready to go lossless just yet, but someday. (When there's more memory for PMP's like the iPod.) Anyway, I'm hearing some sounds in my music that I never have heard before. Some just small, background sounds; others have become more distinct and vibrant. I don't know if this is because of the earbuds, the fact that I doubled the bit rate of my music or a combination of both. (Probably both.) The highs and mids are where these really shine. I listen mostly to Alternate rock, industrial, electronica, techno, etc., so nothing too bass intensive like R&B. Don't get me wrong, you still do get some tight, relatively strong bass, but I've heard headphones with more. This may be the way they were designed, so the bass won't be too strong and over power the rest of the music spectrum. Still, I think the lows could be a bit stronger, so I'd have to list this as a small con.
2.The in-line/voice control: This is actually the main reason I decided to get the X10i's. There's a lot of things I like about the iTouch, but its auto-lock feature is not one of them. Having controls that allow me to have some basic functionality without having to unlock the iTouch every time I want to pause/play, go to the next track or listen to a different album is VERY handy. Unfortunately, not all of the controls work properly or at least not all the time. I'll give a bullet point of each control and how well it works (or not) with my iPod Touch 3rd Gen.
- Volume +/-: These controls work flawlessly every time. They will turn the volume up or down in about 10% increments across the volume bar.
- Pause/Play (middle button press 1x): This works every time as well. Press it once to pause, press it once again to continue play.
- Next Track (middle button press 2x): This only works about half the time. I don't know why, but it's not fully compatible with the iTouch for some reason. The specs for the X10i's give a compatibility list and it has the 2nd Gen iTouch listed, but not the 3rd, so maybe the 2nd Gen is more compatible? Other reviewers have stated that this feature doesn't work all the time for them either with different model ipods/iphones. I have noticed that when I do double tap to go to the next track and it doesn't work, the song will skip for ½ a second like it's trying to go to the next track, but can't. Sometimes I can get it to skip to the next track by trying multiple times, but it doesn't work every time.
- Previous Track (middle button press 3x): Same problem as the next track incompatibility.
- Voice Control (middle button press, hold down 2-3 seconds): So far, I have had little to no trouble having this work, thankfully. I've only used it about half a dozen times or so, but I've tried playing a few of my playlists by saying, "Play playlist Powerman 5000" or albums by saying, "Play album Thirty Seconds to Mars" and every time it played the exact album or playlist I asked for. I did once ask it to play a playlist and it misinterpreted what I said and started playing songs by a certain artist instead, but all I had to do is restate my request more clearly and it played the proper playlist. SO MAKE SURE YOU SPEAK CLEARLY WHEN USING THIS FEATURE! There are many other voice commands besides the ones I mentioned, but haven't tried them all yet. Also, you don't have to say the full name of whatever it is you are requesting, as long as it's close enough. For example, when I said to play my Powerman 5000 playlist, the full name of the playlist is actually Powerman 5000 Mix, but I left out the "mix" part.
One last thing I have to say about these. Some reviews (both amateur and professional) have said that these are mainly for serious audiophiles that mainly listen to lossless music because these buds will uncover any flaws in lesser quality music. That's somewhat true, but with a little BS sprinkled on top. These are for anyone who really cares about getting the best sound out of their music (whatever the source may be), want ipod/iphone in-line controls and can afford them. The truth is these earbuds will only let you hear flaws in your music if they actually exist. Let's say you have your music ripped at a standard .mp3 @ 192Kbps. You listen to a song with your old, cheap earbuds and then listen to that same song using the X10i's; it's not going to make that song sound like crap. It will make it sound better than the cheap buds you were using, but only as good as that file format/bit rate will allow. The X10i's may make your music sound inferior to higher quality versions in comparison, but that's only if you ACTUALLY compare them. If, for instance, you're use to listening to your music as audio files and not straight from the CD's you ripped them from, then you're not going to be aware of any possible deficiencies in your music. Audiophiles may say that music at anything less than lossless quality IS a flaw, but that's a matter of opinion.

Garmin GTM 20 with Lifetime Traffic Review

Garmin GTM 20 with Lifetime Traffic
Average Reviews:

I travel a lot , many rental cars etc.and carry my own GPS, Garmin770. Arrived at a new destination and plugged in my GPS and no power- I thought there was something wrong with the cigarette lighter outlet but noticed the "tip" of my GTM20 was missing. I went to Amazon and didn't feel like spending the $86 for a new GTM20, even though I like hearing the GPS lady warning me there is traffic in 2 miles. I was just going to buy a regular Garmin automobile power cord when I read a review of a guy who had an identical experience with losing the tip. He described in detail how he phoned Garmin support and got the replacement tip kit(fuse, metal and plastic screw in components)-I followed his direction and persisted in holding on for >30minutes but finally spoke to a human and ordered the kit for $11 including shipping and it arrived in 3 days. It assembled quickly and easily and I didn't have to by a new power adapter of any sort. I looked and can't find the review that gave me this valuable information but if you happen to need only the "tip" this review will save you money. I could not find this kit for sale on the Garmin website.

Sound ID 300 Bluetooth Headset (Ebony Black) Review

Sound ID 300 Bluetooth Headset (Ebony Black)
Average Reviews:

I used this headset for three weeks with my ATT Tilt and then my iPhone 3GS. No issues; call quality was great. Best headset I have used to date. Then, out of the blue, it would not turn off. I tried a number of things referring to the manual and then ultimately calling customer service. I even let the battery die. Sound ID replaced it with no issues.. and now I have a new one that works great.
I am not happy with the inconvenience of having a defective unit the first time around (-1 star) but the company stands behind their product and it is a good headset. I would definitely recommend this.

Select a PersonalSound setting by pressing the Volume/PersonalSound button for approximately 2 seconds, until you hear a corresponding beep to the sound enhancement levels (default setting is normal):
One beep: Normal listening enhancement
Two beeps: Moderate listening enhancement
Three beeps: Strong listening enhancement
Four beeps: Noise reduction off

Uniden DECT Silver Cordless Phone System with 4 Handsets and Answering System (DECT1480-4) Review

Uniden DECT Silver Cordless Phone System with 4 Handsets and Answering System (DECT1480-4)
Average Reviews:

The phone handsets are nicely made. The features are OK. The intercom feature has these very annoying shortcomings:
1) When making an intercom call, the CALLING handset also rings. So don't put it up to your ear, or you may go deaf!
2) You cannot use the hands free speaker-phone on an intercom call.
3) You cannot adjust the intercom ring-tone or ringer volume and it's WAY too loud.
There are only two different ring-tone sounds, both annoying, and the rest are cheesy and poorly chosen songs.

PHILIPS ID 9370B Enhanced High DefVoice Additional Handset Review

PHILIPS ID 9370B Enhanced High DefVoice Additional Handset
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought this extra handset with the base unit and it's a great little phone! The range is terrific, the battery life--well, I can't kill it (and that's saying something!), the style and look of it is really nice and sleek... The ringtones are nice, the wallpapers are okay--not bad, not incredible--but the colors are nice and crisp, the screensaver clock is useful and clear--not to mention pretty cool.
The sound quality is really nice--you can hear everything--every voice inflection--so if you are hyperintuitive like me, you'll hear even better when people are sad, happy, anxious, etc. My daughter is hard of hearing and she can hear on this phone without turning up the volume to the maximum.
It doesn't 'flash' to the second line very quickly, and you have to pause a couple of seconds before saying "hello" to your second line... but I'll get used to that. When you dial a number, you don't always get the strong "tone" of each number, but the calls always go through. The speakerphone is amazing--very loud and clear.
I like the phone. It's not hard to keep clean, it comes with microfiber cloths to polish it (but a simple dusting does just fine).
I recommend this one :)

Motorola Q Silver Windows PDA Smartphone Cell Phone in Mint Condition for Verizon Wireless with No Contract - Refurbished in Brand New Housing and 30 Day Seller's Warranty (Refurbished) Review

Motorola Q Silver Windows PDA Smartphone Cell Phone in Mint Condition for Verizon Wireless with No Contract - Refurbished in Brand New Housing and 30 Day Seller's Warranty (Refurbished)

I purchased this phone as something to use while I was home from Iraq since it wasn't time for my "two-year" phone with VZW. It came in quickly, which I will say for the seller and all-but the phone itself...ergh.
I also need to say that as I speak right now, the phone is dead, will not charge, and I have no way to get my numbers off of it. It doesn't hold a charge to save it's life, it gets annoying to hold for a long period of time (if it even stays on long enough without crashing whenever it feels like it.)
I had quite a few dropped calls, and when I purchased the phone, I was not made aware that I needed a data plan with Verizon, which was an extra $50 per month. That would have been nice to know beforehand. Also, you *can* cancel the data plan, but you can no longer send/receive pic. messages.
Basically, I bought the phone without doing too much research on it, but I'm surprised that Verizon would even support this phone. I did try the data plan out just to see if it was worth my time but not so much at all. I tried and tried to get even my yahoo to work, but I couldn't even get it to come up at all. The rest of the internet (browsing, etc) wasn't exactly much better either. I even went more into "town" to see if maybe it was just the signal because I was on the outskirts of town, but that was not the case either.
Overall-Please Don't waste your time on this phone if you have ANY intention of actually ever needing it for something useful.

Pioneer In-Dash Navigation A/V Receiver with CD Player and Built-In Bluetooth (Model# AVIC-F7010BT) Review

Pioneer In-Dash Navigation A/V Receiver with CD Player and Built-In Bluetooth (Model# AVIC-F7010BT)

Verrry disappointing purchase.
The unit boots slowly, so no music, GPS or video for some number of minutes! This is after the latest SW upgrade that supposedly fixes this problem, I can't imagine earlier versions.
The display is not visible in sunlight and/or with polarized lenses. (Does anyone at Pioneer test this junk?)
The GPS can only be programmed after the car is started and while the car is in park and the e-brake is on! I guess passengers manipulating the nav system is a rare thing.
The USB memory stick must be unplugged and re-installed after the car is started to access the contents!
The volume/main control knob is very difficult to grip and operate, what were they thinking? (They were probably thinking everyone has small fingers)
The user interface is not consistent. The positions of the same functions move around from display to display for no good reason.
The bling noise cannot be turned off for the steering wheel controls. Come on guys, this unit is computer based, there's no reason for this type of inflexibility.
If the devil is in the details this unit is, unfortunately, be-deviled!!! In my opinion, this system was slapped together with little thought for the customer by people that do not understand or care how a nav a/v system should perform.
I am certain there are better units out there for this price point. If I were seeking an in dash nav a/v unit, I would keep looking for some other Manufacturers comparable system.

Garmin nüvi 2250LT 3.5-Inch Portable GPS Navigator with Lifetime Traffic

This is a pretty good GPS for the money. I bought the small screen instead of widescreen because I wanted it to fit in a smaller space. This is fine for the map, but the keyboard is now not a QWERTY keyboard, and a lot fo the commands are harder to access. I'd recomend going widescreen.
