(More customer reviews)I'm on the phone a lot for work - inside, outside, and around heavy machinery. I've tried all the "high-end" headsets that look like they might do the job. I've gone through a few Motorola HX1 headsets recently but they don't work for long. I decided to try something different when callers were reporting that my latest HX1 was "cutting out."
The Blue Eagle has completely solved the problem of dropouts. My first caller said it sounded like I was "in the next room." It's been a pleasure to be able to hear and be heard so easily.
I'm disappointed by the lack of a dedicated mute button or switch. Such a large headset could easily support one. (The power switch on the HX1 is a helpful feature.)
I'm most bothered by the BE's alert tones. They're deafening - as if they're meant to be heard with the headset lying on a table - but they sound at the end of every call (and when adjusting volume to the limit, which is a couple levels short of my phone's limit). It's jarring and I haven't found a way to quiet it other than to move it away from my ear. I don't know if that will be enough to keep me from using it but I'm going to keep shopping for the perfect headset.
