(More customer reviews)I've used the boom headsets for about 3 years now. I've used two different types (1.) the one featured on this page (2) a variation of this one with a wrap around head band. First let me say when using these headsets most people never know I'm on my cell. The quality of incoming & outgoing audio is excellent. I made a conference call in downtown NY and didn't have the 1st complaint of outside noise. You want find better audio quality. Now, the major problem, the cord is weak. They use a thin gauge and doesn't hold up very well or least for someone that travel a lot. I've emailed and talked with the company about this and they were nice enough and listened.
Overall, i would still recommend it for anyone that has to make business call traveling. Just treated it with kit gloves.

LG GU295 Phone (AT&T) Review

(More customer reviews)I got new LG GU 295 phone Oct. 2010. The first one would go to sleep/hibernate randomly and would not turn back on until the battery was taken out, replaced, and then it could be turned on. Because it happened at random, it was annoying. I finally got a replacement, after dealing with it for a while and not knowing what was going on with it. I finally called AT&T customer service and warranty dept, which are o.k. and nice, helpful; apparently they all use the same scripts; I have talked to them several times in past few days) and got a refurbished phone at local AT&T warranty center last week, and found out a couple of days later that it would not ring or vibrate with incoming calls. I went to an AT&T warranty center in a different state, (I had to go out-of-town for a couple of days) and all that center did was give me a new simm card and told me that AT&T was in process of going from 3-G to 4-G and that hearing my incoming calls would be sporadic. Well, the phone still does not ring and the local AT&T customers I talked to said their service is perfect. Hmmmmm. Interesting that AT&T customer service and warranty exchange center can make it ring, but no other incoming calls can. Sigh. So, I am writing this and will contact customer chat copy and paste it into the chat window. I still had to call them and they are sending me a replacement phone via mail. Other things I do not like about the phone is that when you have it locked, it does not stay locked, and sometimes I pull it out of its carrying case, on the internet or in other functions that cost money, and I am charged, and do not know how long I may have been there because there is no beep or tone to let you know that the lock is off. I do not use phone to surf web, download apps or music, and it is sort of o.k. for texting. To keep it from accessing internet I have to dig down into a menu option and set the phone there when I put it back into my pocket or into it's case. This is the first slider phone I have had and I do not like it. A BIG ISSUE WITH DESIGN is that it is its RAISED NAVIGATION HUB, you know, right, left, up, down arrows and O.K. in center. It is very easy to slip off key and accidentally navigate away from a text message, or in the middle of adding a contacts info, or activate a pay per app. A flatter or squarer style would be more user friendly to my way of thinking. I really liked the Motorola flip that I had been using. So, buyer beware that the LG GU 295 has some manufacturing flaws and quirks that are problematic.

(More customer reviews)Didn't work as advertised. I bought this because I have an excellent Plantronics headset that I used to use with my Motorola Razor cell phone. When I upgraded to a Chocolate 3, an excellent phone by the way, I learned that the Chocolate had moved to a more standard 3.5mm jack for headphones. I hooked this jack up to my Chocolate and tried to make a few calls. I could hear them but they couldn't hear me. Probably my fault for not digging deeper into the absolute specifics of the jack, because it only supported audio out, not audio in from a microphone. It was too cheap to RMA so I just tossed it into the basket that I periodically donate to AmVets. Lesson learned: even for low dollar amount items, make sure that it does what you want.

(More customer reviews)This is the third product I have ordered from Satechi and every time I have received my order in a timely manner and a have been extremely happy with the products themselves. the sonorix itself is great. I use it along with my Ipod with Naviplay adaptor. The sound quality is great and the pairing was easy. The range seems to be quite good too. I often wear it while doing chores around the house and can go into other rooms and maintain the sound. I purchased this to replace my Motorola S9 which kept skipping on me. As a stereo bluetooth headset for listening to music, I would give the Sonorix 5 stars. For use as a bluetooth headset for mobile phones I would give it 4 stars. During phone calls it sounded a bit tinny and at times people on the other end had difficulty hearing me unless I had the unit positioned correctly near my mouth. Still I have used it quite a bit for the last week for phone calls and it is not that bad. The caller ID display is a definite plus.

Motorola HS820 Bluetooth Headset - Hematite Gray Review

For only $40 this headset is a best buy. I have no problems with the sound quality, volume, or people hearing me on the other end. It actual provides better sound clarity both ways then my cellphones built in speaker and mic. Set-up is no problem at all, and so far the battery hasn't run out on me (I charge it every night along with my cell). I heard a lot of people complain about the 850's volume output, but I dont have any problem with the 820. I use it with my Nokia 3650, and the ability to walk away from my cell phone is a huge advantage, considering I don't get cellular reception everywhere in my apartment. Now I can leave my phone in an area with good reception, and walk around the apartment with my bluetooth headset. Don't believe the "32.8 feet" range on the product description, that value is based on the bluetooth specification, which is really a maximum range assuming you have absolutely no interference at all (no walls or other wireless signals). However, I am able to walk about 20 feet through multiple walls without a problem. I basically get coverage everywhere in my apartment where I would possibly walk to (it gets a little staticy in my roommate's room, but it is still audible). The one thing that takes a little getting used to is controlling your basic functions using only one button. This is accomplished by holding the 'Multifunction Button' for different durations, and overall it works pretty well (once you remember what does what). However, I can't use this as a negative remark towards this headset, because basically all bluetooth headsets implement similar designs. An example of using the Multifuntion button: while connected, quickly pressing the button (a "short press") will answer or hang up a call, or activate voice dialing if there is no incoming call. Holding the button for about 2 seconds (a "long press") will redial my last number, or if your in a call, I believe it puts your current call on hold - however, I would rather not take the risk of hanging up and rather use my phone to activate hold or mute. The headset automatically connects to your phone when you turn it on (after initial pairing) which is really convenient. You can download a PDF of the manual from the motorola website so you get an idea of all the controls and commands you are able to pull of using the multifunction button. A definate pro is two volume buttons (increase/decrease) as oppossed to one, and the ability to switch ears with the headset and have the volume buttons work correctly in their orientation. The design look fine and is not very obtrusive and attention drawing.
(+) My favorite feature of this phone: Voice Dialing. With my Nokia 3650, I am able to program 20 voice tags to use with voice dialing (the quantity of voice dialing numbers and accuracy probably varies by phone model). However, eventhough my phone is not a motorola, the voice dialing (along with all the other features) works seamlessly with my phone. I love the ability to leave my phone somewhere else and call people using the voice dialing function. A great bonus while riding in the car.
(-) Only Negative --- The headset is rather light so it almost feels like it is going to fall off because the clip is not very tight, but rather just kind of rests on your ear. I guess this makes it more comfortable during long calls, but I kind of feel like it would fall off easily if I were to be running - although this hasn't happenned yet. Also, the blue light blinks every 3 seconds while not in call, which can get kind of annoying when in the car at night.
FINAL CONCLUSION: At $40 I don't see why there is any reason not to get this, it works fine and sounds great, so I don't see what other features another headset could offer to make it worth the price difference. I would have paid twice as much for this product and still been happy with my purchase.

LG HBM-520 Bluetooth Mono Headset Review

(More customer reviews)I ordered this headset directly from Verizon and it's going back. It is the worst bluetooth I have had to date.
For starters, turning it on an off is an absolute nightmare. The power button is tiny and hard to push in. You must hold it down for 5 seconds. And you need to COUNT to 5 each time. If your pacing is slightly slower, it will go into Pairing Mode. If you're too fast, it won't turn on/off. Over the course of the past few days, I couldn't even get it to turn on. And when it would, it would disconnect itself from my phone (LG Dare).
The sound is extremely tinny on both ends. People constantly asked me to repeat myself and the majority of the time, the people I spoke to sounded like they were on speaker phone. There was tons of background noise, where the bluetooth picked up the sound of my every movement and fed it back to me.
The microphone quality was so poor, I had to repeat many of my voice commands to the point where I had to speak like and idiot, saying each word and pausing for a second.
I've always had Motorola headsets but after 6 months, they flip would break from excessive use. I rather go through a Motorola every six months and have decent quality during that time then go through the aggravation of counting and begging my bluetooth to turn on.
There are better options out there.

Logitech Mobile Express Bluetooth Headset Review

I have several of their other products and have been quite happy with them as an organization. Although it will take more than one bad experience to turn from Logitech, this purchase left somewhat of a bad taste in my mouth.
The functionality is great. Pairs extremely well with my LG VX8100 from Verizon. However, the sound and mic quality are poor. The headset often has difficulty recognizing commands, especially the "YES" command. Frustrating to say the least. I also have had several complaints about the sound quality, from "you sound muffled" to "you sound like you are at the end of a tunnel".
Unfortunately, I am outside the return policy. If I wasn't traveling so much I would have returned it.

Motorola H715 Bluetooth Headset Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this headset along with a complimentary car charger from the Costco over the holidays for $50. Price-wise, that was about as high as I was looking to. This being my first bluetooth device, I was concerned about lack of crystal clear sound and constantly dropping calls.
Pros:
- Ease of use. Click the dial to call the last person you dialed. Click again to end the call. Click the dial to answer calls on your cellphone.
- Ease of setup. Between 5-10 seconds for my phone to find the bluetooth. A little longer if you're responding to a call.
- The headset has a multi-color indicator that goes from red --> yellow-->green when its fully charged. That in itself is eye candy.
- indicator lights blue when it has charge-- however, fails to indicate how much charge is remaining. The indicator lights up either red or blue. Hopefully you don't find out during an important phone call.
- The device looks great and feels great. Very light and comfortable to wear for extended period of time. I wore the device around my right ear for most of a 7 hour drive from San Diego to San Jose without any complaints.
- no dropped calls.
Cons:
- The sound isn't as clear as it could be. I think this is very noticeable especially when you're driving, you have fits telling the other end to 'say that again.' Also, I wouldn't recommend going outside a 5-foot radius from your phone as there appears to be some pronounced noise.
- Noise-canceling feature seems to be more of a marketing gimmick.
- battery life could be better. After about 3 hours of usage on a recent trip, I stowed the headset away and turned the headset off by moving the boom to the closed position. Two days later I went to use it and the entire battery was drained. Remember that the lithium ion battery is non-replaceable.
- It does take awhile to fully charge. About 1 1/2 hours seems a bit much for such a small device.
Overall, I'm pretty happy about the size, weight, and comfortability of the device. The sound could be clearer --It's noticeable, but not a significant issue that should dissuade anyone from using this headset effectively.

(More customer reviews)The fit on my ear is decent, better than the one I had before, and I truly appreciate the quickness which this was delivered to me but the product itself is not very great. Sometimes who I am talking to can hear me no problem, and then all of a sudden they need me to yell because they can hardly hear me even though I have not moved from the spot I have been in and the noise level around me has not changed. Plus I can't even leave the same room my phone is in when I am talking or I get an intense static noise in my ear. This static also appears in and out during conversation even when I remain in the same spot.
This is an ok bluetooth if you are looking for something cheap and you don't mind that you can tell just how cheap it truly is while you are using it. I would not recommend this to anyone. I've only had it for a day and I am already unsatisfied with the call clarity.

Motorola H350 Bluetooth Headset - Black Review

Things of note:
- Battery life is decent
- Great sound quality
- Long range reception
- a little loose on the ear
- Turning it on and off takes some getting used to
- omni-directional microphone
Now the reason I love this headset is actually because its technical limitations (how loose, the lack of noise filtration) actually means I only wear it in the car, office, or home. In venues where there is more noise and/or people, it's deficiencies become glaringly apparent, rendering its use unacceptable in public places.
For me, however, that's a small miracle. I enjoy the benefits of Bluetooth technology without walking around a store talking to myself to the ire of anyone in my immediate vicinity. I needed a hands-free device for work and travel. This fits the bill.
If you are tempted, as I sometimes am, to seek a headset grafted to your ear 24/7, this device offers neither the audio quality, the looks, nor the comfort you are looking for. If you're looking for a basic hands-free device that gets the job done, this is a heck of a bargain.

Plantronics Discovery 925 Bluetooth Earpiece (Cerise) Review

Why Jawbone is better (in my opinion):
(1) better noise canceling capability (if there is some turbulence in the air, you can hear it with the 925 but not Jawbone).
(2) more masculine design (though the 925 black version is slightly more masculine, the overall design looks like a hair pin. the gold & cerise designs gear toward the female fashionistas).
(3) cheaper (by a few bucks if you shop around).
Why Plantronics 925 is better (in my opinion):
(1) smaller, lighter, & fits nicely in your ear.
(2) gel ear tip works very well. doesn't feel insecure like the Jawbone. i have free range of movement without feeling like it's going to fall off.
(3) ambidextrous - can change from right to left ear without adjustment (unlike Jawbone).
(4) the charging case provides extra juice on the run (however, it looks girly (sincerest apology to the female readers). the micro-USB port is an inconvenience as you cannot use your standard USB charging cable and I have many of those around the house already).
(5) very fast syncing.
(6) audio quality of the 925 and Jawbone is superior compared to their peers.
(7) distinct design. some of my friends already have the Jawbone, but none has the Plantronics 925 yet.

(+) very light-weight. comfortable. hardly feel in your ear(s) at all.
(+) good volume.
(+) there is a useful function where you can (re)establish BT connectivity after answering call by pressing talk button on the phone rather than the headset, allow easy (re)connection if you accidentally answer the call using the phone and not the headset, especially on the road.
(-) headset battery runs out after ~2 of non-use.
(-) the recharger holder is nice but i don't use EVER after 2 months. a hassle to carry / insert / remove. only useful if you go on a 2-3 day trip to the boondocks.
(-) i dropped it once from 3-ft height. got scratched. but still works.

Motorola H500 Bluetooth Headset (Nickel) Review

(More customer reviews)Motorola may have evolved the perfect set of operation instructions coupled to simple feedback sounds and lights with the H500. Plus the 3 buttons are easy to operate because they are large enough and in convenient locations though they could benefit from being less smooth/easier to feel with some tactile bumps. I also had the latest Logitech "Mobile Traveller" headset to compare to which had confusingly complicated feedback sounds and light patterns and difficult buttons and fewer functions (no hold). I paired the headsets to a Motorola Razr V3 for testing.
-----The wind-cancelling technology and greater volume capability were the only advantages missing from the H500. Under noisy conditions such as in a car or crowd of people, the H500 could benefit from greater volume capability so that you can hear better.
-----I tested the headsets by calling a credit card voice response system for uniform responses. With the slightest bit of wind noise from a fan, the H500 mike cannot pick up your voice at all while the Logitech had no problem. It may be that the H500 mike is so extremely sensitive it gets overloaded by noise and wind and this limits pickup in those conditions.
-----I tested voice quality by recording on the phone's voice recorder and by calling my answering machine, then listening to the results. The H500 seems to provide the whole audio range where the Logitech seems focussed more toward the high end. This means that if you have a deep male voice it sounds more natural from the H500, but you will be more understandable and less muffled sounding from the Logitech which gives your voice a thinner and higher sounding quality.
-----The H500 is not as secure on my ear (which is of the sticking out variety), but it won't come off even if you shake your head upside down. Plus, this makes it very comfortable (you forget you're wearing it) and easy to hook it on and off with one hand. I could not put on the Logitech without 2 hands (and a mirror) and a lot of rotation adjustments and then after wearing it for a while, it would slowly start to pinch and hurt.
-----The construction of the H500 is all quality plastic and soft rubber against the ear instead of cheap foam covering which cruds up and shreds.
-----The electronic range is fantastic and I believe this strong signal connection is important if any interference factors are nearby. I am able to hear people quite clearly at distances away from the phone where they stated my voice is completely lost. In listening to recordings, it does seem that the H500 adds some electronic noise (like static or popping) compared to talking on the phone directly.
-----The headset's ringing tune is "Flight of the Valkyries" by Wagner, which I think is cool. The Razr phone itself reverts to a simple call alert sound when a headset is connected.

Jabra C120 Stereo Earbuds - 2.5mm Review

(More customer reviews)Much to my surprise the ear buds are rather comfortable despite the fact that they look crazy. It took me a few tries to get it seated in my ear correctly but once I did it was much better than a standard ear bud. The sound quality is great, and because it sort of "funnels" the sound into your ear it made it really easy to drown out the sound of exercise equipment at the gym.
I wonder if they make a headset like this for iPhones as I no longer use my Blackberry that I purchased these for.

(More customer reviews)I got these, at considerably greater expense than here I might add, from my cell phone vendor. Much has been said in other reviews so I will not repeat that here; instead I will focus on my experience with them using my Smartphone and Windows Vista to listen to music on them.
I patiently waited for them to charge (two hours) before trying them out. It was then a few minutes work to get it to talk to my Cingular 3125 Smartphone (press and hold the home button, Comm Manager, Settings, Bluetooth settings, Menu, Devices, Menu, New).
My phone will play music and uses the external screen to display the track etc. so that was the first thing I tried out - worked perfectly the first time I clicked play on a song on my phone: the sound just came out of the headphones, wirelessly! I was able to skip back and forwards, pause and play using the buttons on the right side of the headphones and adjust the volume using the left side.
The quality was not the best I've heard - not as good as my iPod for example, even though I had just ripped it from the CD at 256Kbit so I loaded the song onto my PC and tried listening to it there. I am running the final, released version of Windows Vista and was able to add the headphones as a Bluetooth device ok but then was unable to use them as Vista didn't have any drivers for them (even though it knew what it was). So I tried plugging them in via the USB cable that came with them and it found drivers for that ok and seemed prepared to work. However playing the file I had just played on my phone didn't result in sound coming out of the headphones...? A browse of the manual told me I needed to press and hold both the left and right side buttons after waiting 10 seconds after plugging them in. Once I did that, they changed colour from their red "charging and dead" colour to the "I'm doing something" blue. As soon as I did this all sound from my PC came through the headphones just fine!
They sounded much better when getting sound over the wire then they did wirelessly over Bluetooth so clearly the sound quality is degraded by the Bluetooth connection somehow. When listening wired, there is lots of bass and the treble was clear and overall I was surprised how good they sounded. Fairly loud but you won't go deaf with them.
To get a comparison, I plugged in my Sony MDR-V300 headphones, which are a very nice sounding pair of the regular wired kind that plug into the headphone socket, and listened to the same song again on my PC. The Jabra's are definitely not as good-sounding as the Sony's. I also noticed the song didn't sound as good as it does when I listen to it on my iPod using those headphones so the audio circuitry of my notebook is apparently not as good as the iPod which I don't think is very surprising.
They are light and comfortable and in summary, it is good being able to listen to music on your phone without the hassle of wires or of having to reach for a player to skip songs you don't like but the experience, in terms of music quality, is way short of that when using an iPod and high-end headphones.

I was first drawn to this because it's red. I'll be honest. Then I realized that it was small. And then, inexpensive. So I bought it to use with my iPhone.
I've been using it for about five weeks as of this review. It's super easy to pair, it fits nicely in my ear and to date, has not fallen out once. The charger is a neat little case which for some reason, I like.
I find that I often have to turn the volume down on the headset because it's just too loud even while driving with the windows down. People I talk to have said that they don't even notice that I'm using a headset which is important to me. I hate when people use headsets that make them sound far away or like they're standing in a silo. One time I was standing outside and it was getting ready to storm and the wind was blowing like crazy. My friend did say he couldn't hear me well with the wind blowing that hard into the microphone. Makes sense.
That's been the only trouble though. Oh, and the thing is so small it's easy to lose in a purse for sure and easy to forget when you put it in your front jeans pocket. It's had a few close calls with the washing machine.
I like it. Sound is good and my friends don't hate when I use it and it stays in my ear without that goofy hook thing on my other bluetooth headsets that get tangled up in my hair or doesn't sit well under or over my sunglasses.
UPDATE 11/6/2009: I just wanted to add that it's been over two years since I bought this and I'm still using it daily. It still works great even though it's been through the ringer - lost, dropped, even put through the laundry cycle! Still highly recommended.

Pairing Instructions Pairing will create a unique and encrypted wireless link between two Bluetooth enabled devices, such as your Bluetooth phone and Bluetooth headset.
Ensure that the headset is off (see Turning the headset on/off).
Press and hold the Multi-Function button until the indicator light turns on in blue (approximately 8 seconds).
Set your Bluetooth phone to discover the headset by following your phone’s guide. Typically, the steps involve going to a Setup, Connect, or Bluetooth menu on your phone and then selecting the option to discover Bluetooth devices.
Your phone will find the Samsung WEP200 headset and ask if you want to pair with it. Confirm this by pressing the Yes or OK key.

Plantronics Voyager PRO Bluetooth Headset Review

(More customer reviews)I have owned my Plantronics Voyager Pro for about 9 months and I really like almost everything about this bluetooth device. For me the Voyager Pro fits perfect and unlike some other bluetooth headset's I also own like the Jawbone original and the second style Jawbone theses 2 don't fit very well at all but the Jawbone Prime 3rd version fits really well but it sounds very low and muffled. I also own the Blue Ant V1 and it just sounds bad and doesn't have very good battery life but the fit is ok. Now the Plantronics Voyager Pro or (PVP) for short Sounds perfect to me with a lot of volume and it is also the most comfortable bluetooth device I have ever owned. The only problem I have with the (PVP) is the noise killing section of this device. If I am driving my Subaru Outback and I put the window down everyone tells me all they hear is wind noise, but I wear the (PVP)in my left ear so I would expect the wind noise to be louder than if I wore it in my right ear. But if I keep the windows up ( which I do 99% of the time) everyone tells me I sound like I am talking on a house phone right next door to them. One of the other reviewers said that the (PVP) didn't fit his ears and it kept falling off. I'm sorry but I just don't believe that statement because I have rather normal size ears for a man and I can ride my 4 wheeler without a helmet through the woods at a pretty good speed and the (PVP) stays on my ear, and my wife who has small ears says the forgets she has her (PVP) on and has never had a problem hearing me or anybody else while using it in her car or office.
To break it down, I really like this Plantronics Voyager Pro better than any other bluetooth headset I have ever owned and hopefdully it will last a few more years. And the price here at Amazon.com is GREAT and can't be beat.
